St Gerard’s Roman Catholic Primary School

BRIEF Wanting to transform their existing empty tarmac play area, St Gerard’s RC Primary School got in contact with Creative Play in regards to creating a Multi-use Games Area, or MUGA, as well as adding some sort of playground surfacing design to another existing play tower area.

For the MUGA we knew we wanted to create a personal touch by engraving the school’s name on both goal ends. We then laid Wetpour Safety Surfacing within the MUGA area to provide a great all-weather surface. Numerous inlaid court markings were also incorporated in contrasting colours to cater to a variety of sports; such as football and netball.

For the surfacing design, we suggested a fun Wetpour Safety Surfacing roadway in a vibrant purple to match the school’s colours; St Gerard’s loved this idea so we were given the go ahead. Now this tired area has a new lease of life that pupils can now use during break times as well as for road safety lessons.
