Product Design & Safety

Our product designs have been adding fun, imaginative flourishes of excitement to schools, local authorities, and the leisure and hospitality sector since 1991.

Employing a meticulous and extensive design process for the creation of play equipment suitable for children of all ages, the BS EN safety standards have always been at the core of our efforts. Dedicated to delivering high-quality play value, our designers continue to strive towards inclusivity and a green ethos.

Playground Design & Consultation

Consultations guide partners to the best equipment for their needs and budget before it is brought to life by our dedicated team of designers, helping customers realise their dream play spaces.

They ensure play areas are laid out for maximum fun, to the highest of safety standards, and the strictest of space requirements. Providing visual creations for schools, councils, and attractions, as well as detailed plans for our installers, they bridge the gap between ideas and realisation.

Playground Equipment Manufacturing

Our playground manufacturing prioritises sustainability and durability with materials like recycled plastic and robust timbers. Aligning efforts with Carbon Net Zero goals, we operate from our own factory and have been busy enhancing processes for over 30 years.

Employing high-tech machinery alongside traditional woodworking skills, all our products are compliant with BS EN safety standards, and are weather resistant. The bespoke nature of our work means we can accommodate almost any budget, and over four decades have refined the craft to deliver precisely what customers want for school playgrounds, communities, and hospitality sites.

Core Playground Materials

Creative Play is dedicated to crafting playgrounds that are safe, long-lasting, and environmentally conscious. We select only high-quality materials, like FSC-certified timber, vibrant recycled plastics, slip-resistant surfaces, and strong steel core ropes, all designed to withstand heavy outdoor use.

These components are chosen not only for durability but also for their sustainability and safety, ensuring our playgrounds are both engaging and responsible. With each project, we aim to create inviting play spaces that will thrive for years, providing communities with play environments they can rely on and enjoy.

Playground Inspection & Maintenance

Let us help look after your investment. Annual inspections and maintenance ensure playgrounds remain in top condition and continue to be compliant with BS EN safety standards. They are carried out by independent, qualified RPII (Register of Playground Inspectors International) inspectors, letting us know of any required repairs.

As a company who design and manufacture all our own bespoke permanent playground installations, replacement parts are always available, even decades after purchase.

CHAS isn’t just for construction companies, it assesses health and safety for all types of suppliers, from care services to demolition contractors, designers and consultants. The aim of the scheme is to save time and resources by avoiding unnecessary duplication in the first stage of competence assessment; the CDM Core criteria.

ROSPA promote safety and prevention of accidents.

Their aim is to provide efficiency savings to public and private sector buyers and the construction industry as a whole by streamlining procurement procedures and improving the supply chain management processes by reducing risk, creating cost efficiencies and helping buyers engage with new suppliers, including SMEs and local companies.

We work hard so you can play hard

Over our time of trading we have built up a huge amount experience in delivering exciting, innovative outdoor learning environments and sports & recreational facilities. We started business working primarily with pubs designing and creating the classic fibreglass play trees and now creating high quality equipment using timber from trees! Customer service is top of our agenda and we are proud to be one of the leading playground and sports equipment providers in the UK. We look at each and every project as a totally unique space that needs to provide children with an area they find exciting, simulating, safe and above all fun!

Safety is Our Priority

All of our outdoor playground equipment is designed and manufactured in-house and meets the stringent requirements of BSEN1176. We take the safety of our customers and all end users seriously, which is reflected in the materials we use and the design and manufacturing processes employed.

Sustainability

We believe reducing the impact we have on the environment aids both our surroundings and the business and are continually looking for ways to be more environmentally conscious in all parts of the business.

We source and use sustainable materials where possible, including our timber, recycled rubber mulch safety flooring and SBR base used for under artificial grass and wet pour safety surfacing.

We have waste management targets as part of our KPI’s and aim to reduce waste and increase recycling both in the office and on site.

We also manage our impact on the environment through our fleet, with regular changes to our vehicles, replacing them with more efficient and lower emission models. The most recent addition to the fleet includes a hybrid vehicle.

We are also part of a cycle to work scheme, encouraging our employees to diversify their mode of transport into work.
