At Creative Play, we’ve spent over 25 years crafting high-quality commercial playground equipment, and swings have always been a beloved favourite and frequent centrepiece of our design in school playgrounds, hospitality venues, and public spaces.
From traditional double swings to our popular nest swings and more, our passion for creating engaging play areas for children across the UK drives everything we do.
We offer a diverse selection of playground swings to suit different needs, including double swings, quad sets, and single cradle swings. We design each swing to ensure safety, durability, and enjoyment for children of all ages, while also providing peace of mind for parents and carers. Our swing barrier adds an extra layer of security, and spinners that add excitement and movement to the playground.
Our goal is to create equipment that promotes inclusive play and results in happy, healthy kids who can explore a variety of play styles.
We’ve worked with schools, nurseries, parks, and private facilities to create tailor-made playgrounds, and our commercial swing sets remain a firm favourite in many of these settings. Swings continue to be a timeless and essential piece of equipment in the playground, including single cradle swings and larger quad sets.
A skilled team at Creative Play designs all of our playground swing sets in-house. We take extreme care in ensuring that each swing meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and style.
All our equipment is fully BS EN 1176 compliant, and we are API, CHAS, and RoSPA accredited. We use only the highest quality stainless steel and timber materials for durability, as well as a natural aesthetic.
Our commitment to quality means that every playground swing we install provides long-lasting enjoyment and safety for children, while our swing barrier ensures extra protection without compromising on fun.
Playground swings provide a low-impact form of exercise that promotes physical movement, socialisation, and the enjoyment of play.
The use of swings helps to promote physical co-ordination as they require timing between the arms and legs, boosting gross motor skills and encouraging spatial awareness. Meanwhile, the rhythmic, repetitive swinging motion can actually have a calming effect and can help to regulate emotions. This in turn benefits not only their physical but also their mental wellbeing.
Swinging can also enhance sensory experience, inducing a feeling of weightlessness in the child which helps them observe their surroundings differently, appreciating elements such as the sound of the chains, the feel of wind on their skin, or simply what they can see around them, boosting their sensory development. Meanwhile, the back-and-forth motion of the swing actually stimulates the inner ear to regulate the vestibular system and help to improve balance.
Swings may typically be considered a solo experience, but in fact they can also be a fantastic tool for group play. Group swings teach children to share space, take turns, and communicate to synchronise their movements. They may experience this in the form of group swing sets where they can move side by side, or basket swing seats which are designed to be used by multiple children at once.
Lea Marston Parish Council had a vision for a new outdoor playground that could be enjoyed by users of all ages.
As part of a £100,000 renovation, we introduced a football pitch for under tens, an adult fitness trail for use amongst all ages, as well as a play area including a range of equipment, such as swings, for older and younger children.
The result is now a vibrant and revitalised community space that retains the rural feel that really matters to local residents, whilst introducing innovative new play equipment into a space which is now much-beloved and can be enjoyed across generations.
