Encouraging Active Outdoor Play at Uffculme Parish Council in Tiverton, Devon

Uffculme Parish Council wanted to enhance their community play space with exciting and challenging equipment that would encourage children to stay active, build confidence, and enjoy outdoor play in a safe environment. Working closely with our design team at Creative Play, the project was carefully designed to create a fun and engaging playground suitable for the local community.

The installation included a bespoke Quad Tower System, pull-up bars, an overhead traverse, and grass mat safety surfacing. Together, these features provide a variety of opportunities for climbing, balancing, strengthening coordination, and developing physical skills through active play.

Outcome

Customer Objective:

The council wanted to enhance their community play area with exciting and challenging equipment that would encourage children to be active outdoors, build confidence, and enjoy adventurous play in a safe and welcoming environment for the whole community.

Playground Development Challenges & Solutions:

The project required equipment that would maximise play value while fitting seamlessly within the existing outdoor space. We worked closely with Uffculme Parish Council to design and install a bespoke Quad Tower System and the rest of the playground equipment, creating an engaging playground that supports physical development, balance, coordination, and social interaction.

The completed playground has transformed the area into a stimulating and versatile outdoor space where children can climb, explore, socialise, and stay active.
