Leighton Primary School

BRIEF: Creative Play were called in to assist the staff at Leighton Primary with the plans they had for the new playground development. The school wanted suggestions and ideas for a new piece of equipment to go into the main playground at the school. They also wanted to replace an existing trim tail area and lay new safety surfacing.

In the main playground we installed our Jungle Climber Midi. Our range of Jungle Climbers are designed to provide a challenge in the playground. Using rounded timbers these climbing frames are born out of children's natural desire to climb trees. Underneath the new equipment we laid black wetpour safety surfacing. Wetpour is ideal for laying onto existing tarmac or concrete surfaces.

We also implemented a new trim trail area made up of items including a vertical twisted net, a scramble net, stilts, jelly board, a rope walk, a rope bridge and a junior climbing net. Our range of trim trail items have been designed to meet the Ofsted requirements for physical development and test different skills and abilities. They promote co-ordination, balance, agility and strength.
