BRIEF
Ingoldmells Parish Council contacted Creative Play as they were looking to redevelop 2 existing areas; Glebe Park & Queen Elizabeth Park. Glebe Park was an existing open family park that consisted of a selection of benches. Queen Elizabeth Park had existing equipment that needed updating and refreshing. Together, the equipment across both areas needed to be suitable for children of all ages as well as include numerous seating options for parents.
DESIGN
Glebe Park
Glebe Park was a blank grassed area that Ingoldmells Parish Council wanted to inject more play opportunities into. To ensure they provided something for multiple children to use at one time, our Dart Activity Centre was installed to provide a variety of challenges for a wide age range of children. Seating was also included along with grass mats to ensure the play area met all BS EN 1176/1177 standards.
Queen Elizabeth Park
Ingoldmells Parish Council also wanted to update the existing area at Queen Elizabeth Park. They wanted to install play equipment that would complement the existing timber equipment. The park was split into two areas, Toddlers and Juniors. Within the Toddler area we added a Jigsaw Play Tower & Jungle Climber Micro to encourage physical play along with seating for adults.
The Junior area also had a Jigsaw Play Tower with a much taller height and more tower platforms to add more of a challenge for older children. Again seating for parents and carers were added to allow them to watch on and take a well deserved break. Grass matting was again laid within this area to not only meet BS EN standards but to help safeguard high wear areas of the surrounding grass.
INSTALLATION
Overall, our project for Ingoldmells Parish Council was a great development across two areas. We worked closely with the parish council to ensure all requirements were met and that the development areas were kept safe at all times prior to being open to the public. The overall result looks fantastic and the renovation is truly something to be proud of!
