St Edmund R. C. Primary School

St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School reached out to Creative Play looking to revamp their existing junior playground. The playground was a large tarmacked area with a small football pitch and the school didn’t feel they were making the most of the space they have. As St Edmunds were open to suggestions and ideas we sent our play adviser to view the area and provide different possibilities!

DESIGN
St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School had a great area for us to work with. The school wanted to incorporate a seating area as well as several sport areas. We provided different target panels including our Cricket Batsman and Basket Ball Target, our Fitness Trails 1 and 2 were also added to create a vibrant and colourful element to the playground whilst still challenging children to do sports. Football and Netball courts were also laid to provide an area for ball games.

Our square sail shades were installed with our curved modular seating to create a sheltered seating area. In addition to the curved modular seating, we installed four picnic benches with game tops to allow children to carry on playing whilst resting from active play! Overall the playground now has many different play features to utilise the area.

INSTALLATION
As there were many different pieces of playground equipment to install and lay we faced great challenge that we were excited to take on. We provided all the equipment and thermoplastic markings within the timescale requested and with minimal disruption. This huge area now looks very inviting to the children and with the different elements incorporated there is something for everybody! A great playground development project.
