Bay Primary School

Wanting to redevelop their Reception play area, Bay Primary School got in touch with Creative Play in regards to brightening up their existing outdoor space with safety surfacing. During their consultation we agreed with the school that just because it’s safety surfacing, it does not mean that we can’t add any play value. We incorporated a fun roadway design into the surfacing so that it could be used during break times as well as for road safety lessons.

Additional elements, such as zebra crossings and stop signs, were also included to aid imaginative play. Contrasting colour splashes were included throughout the play area, including under their existing equipment, to create individual zones and rejuvenate the space. Artificial Grass Safety Surfacing was also included to provide a more rustic all-weather surface. A number of items from our Toddle Town EYFS range, such as our Messy Play Table, were also included to again increase the number of play opportunities and breathe new life into the play area.
