Woodfield Special School

BRIEF: We were contacted earlier this year by Woodfield Special School on the back of our Educational Mailer. They wanted to update their existing outdoor area with a piece of equipment that would fit in with the rustic aesthetic of their existing equipment while at the same time providing a challenge for their able bodied pupils. The equipment needed to be suitable for students up to the age of 19, and therefore needed to boast a whole host of play features to provide maximum play value including a Clatterbridge, Climbing Wall & Net Ramp.

We decided that our brand new Fort Belknap would be the perfect piece of equipment for them, providing incredible play values over multiple levels, plus the all-important 2m spiral slide. The tower fitted in brilliantly with the school’s natural aesthetic due to its timber frame and green Playtec fixtures. We also installed our rubber mulch safety surfacing beneath the tower, to ensure that it met the European safety standards for play equipment. The surfacing provided a natural look and a wonderful finishing touch to the project.
