The Coffee House

THE BRIEF

The Coffee House, part of Trust Inns, contacted Creative Play as they were looking to transform an existing unused bowling green into an unique selling point; a fantastic outdoor play space for children of all ages. Wanting to complement the existing play facilities and increase function opportunities, Creative Play was happy to help.

THE DESIGN

The Coffee House, part of Trust Inns, contacted Creative Play as they were looking to transform an existing unused bowling green into an unique selling point; a fantastic outdoor play space for children of all ages. Wanting to complement the existing play facilities and increase function opportunities, Creative Play was happy to help.

With the existing area being a grassed area we were essentially working with a blank canvas. We wanted to add as many play features as possible to allow suitability for children of a wide variety of age ranges; attracting many customers to The Coffee House.

With our Jungle Climber Midi and Dart Activity Centre allowing large numbers of children to play at one time and offering a great challenge to traverse across the equipment this was ideal for the brief given. In addition to the 2 climbing structures we added a Double Swing Set with Swing Barriers to increase safety and add even more play value! Grass mats were then laid under the equipment to ensure all BSEN 1176/1177 safety requirement were met.

THE INSTALLATION

Having two large climbing structures to install along with a swing set and grass mats we were faced with a great challenge, but we were excited to see the final results. We worked closely with the Owner of The Coffee House to ensure everything ran smoothly as we completed the work whilst the pub was open. This was not a problem and the completed installation is one to be proud of. The Coffee House owner, along with its customers, are extremely happy and we enjoyed every moment of the installation.
