Rhug Estate & Farm Shop

THE BRIEF
We met Rhug Estate when we were showing at a Farm-focused exhibition several months back. They were impressed with what Creative Play could do and wanted us to transform their tired and dated outdoor play area. Wanting to focus on a high-quality, rustic design we were excited to start on this project.

THE DESIGN
We met Rhug Estate when we were showing at a Farm-focused exhibition several months back. They were impressed with what Creative Play could do and wanted us to transform their tired and dated outdoor play area. Wanting to focus on a high-quality, rustic design we were excited to start on this project.
Wanting to ensure large numbers of children could play and enjoy the new space together, we knew that we wanted to include a custom tower system from our new Jigsaw range. With features such as a slide, inclined staggered walkway and log climber, there is something to suit every age and ability level. We also added timber roofs above each of the three platforms to allow for all-weather play.
We also added two Double Spring Riders in a bespoke Bison design to match the branding at Rhug Estate and Farm Shop- providing a more personalised playground overall. This was also carried through to the three tower Jigsaw with custom Rhug Estate logos engraved into the side panels. We stayed true to Rhug Estate’s brown and neutral colours with our engraved playtec, to again create a strong, branded play space while also being in-keeping with the surrounding rustic environment.

THE INSTALLATION
Overall it was a pleasure to be involved with the playground development at Rhug Estate.
With custom elements such as the Bison Spring Riders, bespoke 3 tower Jigsaw as well as company-themed engravings it was great to see the final outcome of such an unique project.
We’re certain the new playground will be a real asset to Rhug Estate for many years to come!
