Coloured Bar

We were contacted by Jo McGovern at Priory Primary School in Slough to assist with the redevelopment of their Foundation Area. They were looking to replace the existing playsafe and pond area with new surfacing to make the area safer for the children and more in keeping with the other outdoor play areas. We had redeveloped two areas at the school earlier in the year and this was the final phase. The previous development consisted of a new Mulit-Use-Games-Area complete with football and netball markings as well as a Fort Yuma, Dart Activity Centre and Trim Trail items to promote challenging, physical play.

DESIGN
When we design something for our customers, safety is always the first requirement. The existing surfacing was tired and worn and it was clear that the area needed some attention.
We created a surfacing design using different coloured Mulch to add vibrancy to the area. Within the design we incorporated shapes as well as a roadway to promote outdoor learning whilst making the area visually pleasing. The design not only made the play area safer for the children, it better utilised the space allowing additional room for free play.

INSTALLATION
Overseeing such a large project with strict deadlines required careful planning. Each area had to be prepped meticulously in order to achieve the desired finish.
The installation teams worked hard to ensure the project was finished on time and within budget. The end result is fantastic, providing three vibrant all weather play areas, helping to improve the schools outdoor development.
