Keyworth Primary School & Nursery

Faunce Street, London, London, SE17 3TR

Coloured Bar

Keyworth Primary School had two large outdoor areas that they wanted totally redeveloping to become spaces dedicated to sports and physical play. The existing areas were both large, blank tarmac spaces which lacked play opportunities. The school were particularly keen to include a tower unit and trim trail amongst the equipment to encourage the children to explore and develop fundamental movement skills.

DESIGN
We decided to install a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) as a dedicated sports area which included a number of additional target panels aimed at improving the children’s coordination and development of fundamental movement skills.

We included a selection of our Challenger Trim Trail equipment within the area to promote active play, encouraging children to experiment with the ways in which they explore and move around the equipment.

The inclusion of a Tower System was important to the school and therefore we decided to include our impressive Fort Henry tower which incorporates a huge variety of play features including a twist slide, climbing wall, crawling tube, firefighter’s pole and rope traverse.

INSTALLATION
The installation at Keyworth Primary School was a huge job due to the size of both the areas and the equipment, however all the teams involved thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and are incredibly proud of the results. We were able to transform two blank playgrounds into fun and engage play areas full of top quality equipment, without any delays. Well done teams!
