BRIEF: Having previously worked with Greenfields Community Primary School, and with another nearby school also recommending us, when it was time for Greenfields to redevelop their outdoor area, we were first point of call! The area of development was originally a blank grassed area that the school wanted to transform into a colourful play space with traditional play elements.
DESIGN: As Greenfields Community Primary School were looking to create a traditional play space, we started with the classics; a swing, seesaw, and climbing frame. Along with this we added one of our fully modular Jigsaw Towers to provide a great focal point and a bespoke play unit multiple children can enjoy together at once; not forgetting the traditional slide too!To ensure the play area met all BS EN standards Wetpour safety surfacing was laid under and around the equipment. This also meets the colour aspect of their brief whilst also providing additional play elements with a number of inlaid games such as a Mirror Me and Classic Hopscotch.
INSTALLATION: Due to the size, and complexity, of the playground development we worked closely with Greenfields Community Primary School to ensure the installation went as smooth as possible.
Overall the outdoor area has transformed from a grassed area to an incredibly impressive play space that pupils will enjoy for many years to come.
Well done to all involved!
