Earlsmead Primary School had two main areas that they wanted to develop, and we needed to make sure that they retained some space around the equipment as well. It was important we chose a wide range of products to stimulate imagination and encourage physical activity.
The school had provided us with a really detailed brief, so it was essential that our designs met the schools requirements. We wanted to create an inspiring and engaging new space for the school that would provide physical challenges for the students, as well as providing them with areas for relaxation & creativity. In the Reception and KS1 area, we provided a range of equipment including our Dart Activity Centre, Octavia Shelter, a selection of equipment from our Role Play Voyager range, to encourage creative and imaginative play. In the KS2 area we decided that our Fort Riley tower system would provide the wow factor, packed with physical challenges to develop movement skills, along with a quiet area, and football pitch with Target Panels. The whole project was finished off with our bright Wetpour safety surfacing, to really add to a vibrant and engaging space.
The area at Earlsmead provided us with a large, blank space with which to work. There was some existing equipment in the area that was to be moved, and some that we were installing around so it was really important to ensure the safety of the equipment that was to remain throughout the installation.
The Sales and Design teams did a brilliant job of designing areas that completely transformed the outdoor space, providing the school with a vibrant and engaging new space.
All the teams who worked on the installation did a fantastic job, ensuring that the installation was completed on schedule and to a high standard. Another great job by everyone involved!
