How to Set Up a Storytelling Area

Start with a small area – you can always add to it later!
Add our storytelling circle, which is perfect for group story telling. It encourages children to sit facing each other, which promotes social interaction and communication.
Add our storytelling chair, which is a great addition for individual story time. It allows children to curl up and get comfortable while they listen to a story.
If you have the space, add some trees or bushes around the perimeter of the area to create a natural barrier and further encourage imaginary play.
You can also add toys or props to the area to help bring the stories to life!
Finally, make sure to stock the area with plenty of books! This can be done by adding a small bookshelf or bin filled with books that are appropriate for the age group that will be using the area.
