In April 2023, Dwayne from our Design Team is taking on a huge challenge to raise money and awareness for Sarcoma UK; a charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer, and campaigns for better treatments.
He’s aiming to complete 1 million steps and raise £1,500+ through a combination of walking to work, weekend hikes, dog walking, playing football with his son and jogging. This cause is very close to Dwayne’s heart as he lost a close family member in 2018 to this form of cancer. Let’s find out more about this inspiring challenge!
Sarcoma is an aggressive type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissues. It can be hard to diagnose as symptoms are often mistaken for other conditions or problems. Unfortunately there are limited treatment options available due to lack of research in the field—which is why it’s so important that organisations such as Sarcoma UK exist. They provide invaluable support to those affected by Sarcoma.
Dwayne hopes to exceed his initial goal of £1,500 by encouraging people to donate what they can towards this cause. All donations will go directly towards funding life-saving research into sarcoma cancer so that those affected can have access to better treatments in the future.
