Choosing the appropriate playground safety surface can be a daunting task. Playground surfacing forms an integral part of any playground development and, depending on the existing site and type of playground equipment to be used, is essential to meet the requirements of BSEN 1176 and 1177. Our Playground Advisors can explain in detail the benefits of each type of surface and discuss any technical requirements.
Creative play offers four different types of safety surfacing, each with their own benefits. Wetpour Rubber Surfacing, Resin Bound Rubber Mulch, Artificial Grass and Playsafe Synthetic Surfacing can all be used to provide impact absorbing surfaces.
There are a number of variables which affect the choice of surfacing such as; existing sub-base, colour, access, budget, critical fall heights (CFH) and design requirements. Click on the individual links above to discover more.
