Counting Caterpillars is a type of playground marking often found on outdoor play surfaces such as asphalt or concrete. It consists of a series of multi-colored, connected shapes resembling caterpillars, with numbers in each section of the caterpillar’s body. The purpose of this marking is to encourage children to engage in counting and number recognition activities while playing outdoors.
