Bringing Imaginative Play to the School Playing Field

Wigley Primary School in Chesterfield has added a bespoke Tractor play unit to its previously plain playing field, creating a more engaging outdoor space for pupils. Complete with a slide, crawling tunnels and a steering wheel, the new equipment encourages children to use their imagination, play together and enjoy new adventures outdoors.

Customer Objectives:

Wigley Primary School’s aim was to make better use of the school’s previously plain playing field by introducing an engaging play feature. The bespoke Tractor provides pupils with a new outdoor attraction where they can let their imaginations run wild, develop physical skills and enjoy shared play experiences.

Playground Development Challenges & Solutions:

The playing field offered an opportunity to introduce more variety to the school’s outdoor environment. The slide, tunnels and steering wheel offer different ways for children to interact with the structure, whether they are pretending to drive off on an adventure, crawling through the tunnels or playing alongside friends.
