HPB Upper Norton in Newmarket, Suffolk, has transformed a previously empty field into an engaging outdoor play space with the help of Creative Play. Featuring a bespoke Castle Tower and Combi Swing, installed on grass mats, the new play area gives children a place to climb, swing, explore and enjoy time outdoors.

HPB Upper Norton objective was to develop the previously unused field into a dedicated play area with a varied selection of equipment. The new facilities were designed to encourage physical activity, imaginative play and social interaction, creating a more engaging outdoor space for children and visiting families.

With little existing play provision in place, the project offered a blank canvas to develop a completely new outdoor play area. Creative Play brought together two complementary pieces of equipment to provide variety within the space.

The bespoke Castle Tower creates a focal point for imaginative adventures, with multiple access points and different platform heights adding interest to play. Alongside it, the Combi Swing offers a familiar playground favourite, with flat and cradle seats to suit a range of children. Grass mats complete the installation, helping create a practical surface around the equipment.

What was once an empty field is now a dedicated outdoor play space, offering children more opportunities to be active, use their imaginations and play together. The combination of castle-themed equipment and swings adds variety and character to the site.
