These post shoes are designed to elevate timber posts above ground level, preventing direct contact with moisture, soil, and bacteria. Available for both round and square cut timbers, they provide robust support for wooden structures, offering optimal protection against rot, decay, and ground-borne damage.
By creating a gap between the timber and the ground, our steel post shoes also make surface maintenance easier—minimising the risk of damage from strimmers during grass cutting.
When considering the repairability index, timber uprights can be easily unbolted from the post shoe if ever in need of replacement—without digging, breaking out concrete, or disturbing surrounding surfaces. There’s no need to add or replace concrete in the ground, making the process quicker, cleaner, and far less disruptive. This approach not only saves time and effort but also reduces material waste, offering a more sustainable and environmentally responsible solution in the long term.
