Wood End Primary School

Wood End Primary School contacted Creative Play after receiving one of our postal campaigns featuring our brand new Jigsaw range. With a new school building being added to the premises, they needed a playground to go along with it. The new playground needed to be suitable for ages 4-7 and to promote physical/climbing play.

DESIGN
As we knew Wood End Primary School had previously expressed interest in the new Jigsaw range this was definitely something we were going to incorporate into the area. Our Jigsaw range is brand new at Creative Play so this made the project even more exciting! The area was only small, but this plays to Jigsaw ‘s strengths as components can be individually selected and combined to optimally fit awkward-shaped play areas. Wood End Primary School had chosen numerous elements they wanted to incorporate into their bespoke play tower including 3 roofed platforms, an Arched Timber Bridge and Inclined Clatterbridge. Play features such as Stairs, a Rung ladder and a Net Climber were also included to provide the requested physical/climbing play elements. Along with the Jigsaw play tower, Wetpour Safety Surfacing was laid to ensure the playground met all BSEN1177/1176 standards & to allow for play throughout the year.

INSTALLATION
When the installation teams were given this project they were extremely pleased to be given the first ever Jigsaw install! This posed a new challenge to the team to which was well received and shown within the final results.

Our install team exceeded our expectations and produced a fantastic playground at Wood End Primary School. Suitable for continued use for many years to come, the playground development was completed on schedule and in time for the official opening of the new school building!
