King’s School Worcester reached out to Creative Play after receiving a recommendation from a local school we had previously completed work for. The school currently had small climbing towers to encourage physical play but were looking to update this area with new play equipment and adding safety surfacing.

After discussion with the school they wanted two different options to choose from; one of a completely renovated area and the other to involve some of the existing surfacing to keep within a smaller budget. After seeing both proposals, they were blown away with our full safety surfacing option and decided to completely renovate the area. We removed the existing equipment and excavated the whole area. The school wanted to focus on providing physical play opportunities so we incorporated our new Jungle Climber Combi and a Trim Trail area; ideal for large numbers of children playing together. Along with the equipment we added Wetpour Safety Surfacing to ensure the playground met BSEN1176/1177 safety standards. We used black Wetpour and added different coloured splashes around individual pieces of equipment. This created different play zones and gives the area a real wow factor!

When given the King’s School Worcester project we immediately knew this would be a great development to be involved with as it featured the first installation of our Jungle Climber Combi. The whole installation went smoothly and we kept in constant contact with the school to ensure they were happy with the progress throughout. The Wetpour made a real statement on this project and really enhanced the finished area. Both King’s School Worcester and Creative Play are very pleased with the final result.
