A two stage development, Firs Estate Primary School wanted Creative Play to create two different play zones that would encourage age-appropriate physical play.
As an inner city school, Firs Estate also wanted to keep the look of their play spaces as natural and rustic as possible. We knew that we wanted to stick to primarily timber play pieces as well as include our Artificial Grass Safety Surfacing to ensure all BSEN 1176 & 1177 requirements would be met.
For their Key Stage 1 area, imaginative play-themed items of trim trail, such as our Overhead Ladder and Mound Tunnel, were selected to encourage activity through play. In contrast we selected more classic trim trail items for the Key Stage 2 area to ensure a variety of key movement skills were included. Items such as our Clatterbridge and Weaving Beam are great for working on balancing skills whilst our Gripped Rope Walk & Timber Climbing Wall are ideal for building on strength and coordination.
