It’s National Make A Difference Day!
Today is Make a Difference Day and Creative Play likes to think we make a difference to individuals all over the UK by providing fun and exciting playgrounds to a wide age range and make sure we have play equipment suitable for everybody.
Having worked with over 10,000 schools and a huge amount of visitor attractions and holiday parks we have provided educational products, challenging products and exciting products.
We have picked 3 projects where we feel we made a huge difference to children’s active life.
Hill House School
The first project we would like to mention is Hill House School; they were looking to re-develop their main playground for an age range of 11-19. The school wanted something to promote outdoor fitness and to incorporate a bright and exciting Wetpour Safety Surfacing roadway to stimulate their SEN students.
As you can see in the photos the vibrant roadway design looks great, we also installed a number of swings including our Basket Swing for students who needed a little more assistance. As Hill House School is part of the Cambian Group, they shared pictures as well as a video of the individuals enjoying the new outdoor area and how it has made a difference.
Kestrel House School
Secondly we would like to mention Kestrel House, their existing outdoor area consisted of only a basketball hoop. The school contacted us looking to develop the small area for an age range of 5-16 and wanting to incorporate climbing features and a quiet/sensory area for SEN pupils.
After much discussion the plans were finalised and the school had Trim Trail equipment installed, we created a separate play station for each piece of play equipment as well as a quiet early year’s area with Teepees and seating. The key feature with this project was the Wetpour Safety Surfacing with each of the play station within the area a different colour, as you can see from the pictures it looks really effective.
Check out the video, we feature near the end of video but it’s great to see the individuals enjoying the equipment.
Wincham Parish Council
Thirdly we would like to mention Wincham Parish Council. The council and the residents were keen to enhance their existing play area. They wanted something that would offer an attractive focal point for the area of development and a recreational place, where families can meet and enjoy both the outdoors and the equipment.
We installed two pieces of equipment, the Derwent Climbing Frame which provides multiple obstacles to cross the activity centre guarantying hours of fun along with our hugely popular Basket Swing, a unique take on the traditional playground swing. We received great feedback as seen below, and we’re glad to have provided a local community a fresh joyful area for all the residents.
‘You have transformed a neglected eyesore into a vibrant, joyful area for the whole village’
‘We love it! It is in constant use’
‘You did a superb job’ – Annie Makepeace – Wincham Parish Council
Creative Play plan to continue offering our services to make a difference to each and every customer that approaches us, and proceed to provide playground equipment to suit each individual’s needs.
