Forget Alice, Steph and David in The Great British Bake Off final. On Halloween our very own Creative Play bakers where busy taking part in our Spooktacular Bake Off!
All the funds raised go to Children in Need and everyone put their best bake forward when it came to creating Halloween-themed cakes. From chocolate cake cauldrons to a spooky spider’s web, pumpkin patches to a deadly day of the dead cake, there was a whole range of frightening bakes to try! With judging focusing on three main categories, Taste, Texture and Design, everyone at Creative Play HQ channelled their inner Paul and Prue (as well as Sandi and Noel!) and scored the gruesome cakes accordingly.
After the tough scoring process (and lots of tasting) we decided to award Three Star Bakers; one for each scoring category!
TASTE STAR BAKER:
Antonia, Design department with her Pumpkin Patch, Carrot Cake
TEXTURE STAR BAKER:
Kelly, Telesales department with her Chocolate Spider Webs Cake
DESIGN STAR BAKER:
Libby, Design department with her Chocolate Orange, Cauldron Cake
Overall, we had an amazing time at the event and we are delighted to have raised over £68.00 for Children in Need!
