News Antibullyingweek17 4 | 'All Different, All Equal' – Anti-Bullying Week 2017 | Creative PlayAnti-Bullying Week focuses on bullying and encourages all children, teachers and parents to take action against bullying. This year’s theme is ‘All Different, All Equal’.

The aim of this year’s Anti-Bullying week is to:

  •  Empower children to celebrate what makes them and others unique.
  •  Help children to understand the importance for every child to feel valued and included in school as a whole. Allow them to be themselves without the fear of being bullied.
  • Encourage parents to work with their child’s school and talk to their children about bullying, differences and equality.
  • Enable teachers and other children’s workforce professionals to celebrate what makes each and every one of us ‘all different, all equal’. Encouraging them to take action to prevent bullying, creating safe environments where children can be themselves.

Bullying happens every day with 64% of 8-16 years olds in England coming across someone being bullied for being ‘different’ and 40% of them hiding things about themselves for the fear of being bullied.

Working with schools we understand the challenges bullying creates and we like to think we can support this with products we offer.

News Antibullyingweek17 3 | 'All Different, All Equal' – Anti-Bullying Week 2017 | Creative PlayWe offer a range of products that encourages teamwork to allow children to work together. Our Timber Sandbox is great for this as children can work towards a common goal. For example, try and build the biggest sandcastle or create funky patterns within the sand!

We want children to build relationships within the school environment as this is a place children can make friends for life! Our Friendship Bench is the perfect place for children to meet and sit together to socialise and build on their friendship whilst relaxing after heaps of fun in the playground!

Allow children to collaborate with each other and create master pieces with our engaging Playboards, including chalk board, wipe board and music stations. Work together and take turns whilst working on their creative flair, what will they create, or even set them a goal!

News Bakeoff Featured | Creative Play'S Spooktacular Bake Off! | Creative Play

Halloween was not just the Great British Bake Off 2017 final, but more importantly it was our ‘Creative Play Spoktacular Bake Off’!

With all the funds raised going to Children in Need everyone put their best bake forward when it came to creating Halloween-themed cakes. From ghosts to spiders, mummies to gooey brains there was a whole range of frightening bakes to try! With judging focusing on three main categories, Appearance, Texture and Taste, everyone at Creative Play HQ channelled their inner Paul, Prue (and Mary!) and scored the gruesome cakes accordingly.

After the tough scoring process (and lots of tasting) we’re happy to announce that our Star Bake was awarded to our Account Manager Vikki and her amazingly spooky Dr Franken-Pepper Brain cake.

For those without a sweet tooth, a Horror Film Quiz was also taking part, where screen buffs put their movie knowledge to the ultimate test; this was won by our Operations team!

Overall, we had an amazing time at the event and we are delighted to have raised over £55 for Children in Need! A big thank you to all involved!
